Matilde Cigars is the vision of legendary cigar maker José Seijas. With a storied career that began in 1974 and spanned decades of blending some of the most iconic cigar brands in the world, Seijas returned from retirement to pursue his true passion: crafting small-batch cigars of uncompromising quality. In 2014, alongside his sons Enrique and Ricardo, Seijas resurrected the historic Matilde brand. Their debut release symbolized both the restoration of a Dominican legacy and José’s personal journey from mass production to focused, artisanal excellence. With a commitment to using only the finest tobaccos and the most skilled hands, Matilde Cigars offers connoisseurs a refined smoking experience rooted in tradition, family, and a relentless pursuit of perfection.
