Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) is the boutique, in-house arm of Black Label Trading Company. Their focus is on creating artisanal quality cigars in small batches. Each line in the BLK WKS portfolio is produced in limited batches with the goal of pushing boundaries and create cigars for the next generation of cigar smokers. All of this work and experimentation takes place in their factory in Nicaragua. This year’s PCA (Premium Cigar Association) exclusive release from the company is the Poison Dart. It’s limited to 500 boxes per size and is only available to retailers who attended this years convention and trade show. The blend consists of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, an Ecuador Habano binder, and is topped with a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper.

This brand has never disappointed. I have purchased several boxes of Black works studio and or black works trading company. The size and shape is very cool. The cigar is flavorful and packs a punch in a small package. Like most cigars from this brand they are small but rolled very well and intricately. I would recommend. You will notice that you have to cut a bit deeper in the head to get a good draw as the dart shape is very thick up top but this was not a problem for me.
